Charter Homes’ ambitious development on the 57.3-acre Meeder farm property at the corner of Rt. 19 and Rochester Road is a complex project that includes just about everything: retail stores, restaurants, office space, detached single-family homes, several types of townhouse units and apartments as well as an internal road network, modifications to several Township roads, and open recreational spaces. At its October 11 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors gave the developer’s application for conditional use, as well as Phase I preliminary and final land development, their approval. The overall project will include eleven phases with 635 living units by final build-out. The site’s high-profile barn and farmhouse will be preserved.
