Work by Public Works employees to install new storm water pipes and to remove several large trees along a quarter-mile segment of Burke Road in the eastern portion of the Township will require daytime closure of the street to through traffic between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, starting Thursday August 10, with anticipated completion by Friday, August 25. Burke Road will be closed at Peters Road to through traffic; only local traffic will have access to Walden Pond, Chrystal Springs and Lakeview Estates. Traffic serving the handful of homes along the segment of Burke road under repair will be given access by traffic control personnel in the field. All other traffic will need to follow a posted detour which includes portions of Franklin and Peters Road, as well as the half-mile of Burke Road not currently under repair.
