Pittsburgh native Randall Bauer was sworn in as a Township police patrolman by Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors at its meeting on June 30. Bauer, a graduate of the Utica College branch of Syracuse University with a major in criminal justice, most recently worked for the Carnegie-Mellon University police force and before that, as a member of the North Charleston police department in South Carolina. Following four years as a star college hockey player for Utica College, which earned him a full scholarship, Bauer became a volunteer assistant coach to the Citadel College hockey team while in Charleston. Following his return to the Pittsburgh area, he continued his studies, earning a Master’s degree in law and public policy.
