Attention Cranberry hikers, bikers, and mobility advocates: the Township needs your advice. Specifically, what new sidewalks, trails, bikeways, crosswalks and pedestrian connections should Cranberry build, or at least seek grants for, next year? Back in 2010, the Township’s Board of Supervisors made creating a more walkable community a matter of policy. Lots of opportunities to achieve that goal were identified. But to transform them into a short list of projects, Township engineers and planners need help from residents who are passionate about getting around by muscle power to join an ad hoc advisory committee and share their thoughts. If you are a resident of Cranberry or work here and feel strongly about making Cranberry the sort of walkable, bikeable, accessible community visualized in the Township’s comprehensive plan, the Township would welcome hearing from you. Send an email to planning@cranberrytownship.org stating your interest. Someone from the Township will get back to you promptly to discuss the possibility of participation on the connections committee.
