An update to Cranberry’s 2009 comprehensive plan will attempt to position the Township for immediate action in case the opportunity to implement public transit service materializes. At the Board of Supervisors’ February 5 meeting, a $15,000 proposal from Delta Development Group to develop a detailed project schedule and to perform initial research on previous transit planning initiatives, was approved. The planning phase of the study, which includes determining the local demand for transit services, is intended to ensure that everyone involved in advancing the transit concept understands the expected outcome, schedule, and responsibilities involving the possible implementation of service in Cranberry.
