Millions of dollars in capital improvements to the Township’s infrastructure were completed in 2013, the members of Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors were told at their November 7 meeting. It was Cranberry’s biggest year to date for undertaking capital improvements. Altogether, 35 significant projects – the planning for which had begun years ago in many cases – were either finished or are expected to be done by the end of this year. Most of the projects were Township-financed, although they included several developer-financed and community-financed projects as well, Assistant Township Manager Duane McKee told the Board. Among the largest: a new Public Safety training building, a new sewer line interceptor, a new 24-inch water line, a new playground, a new EMS base station, and several new parking lots, as well as numerous road improvements.
