- Amphitheater Project of the Year
The Rotary Amphitheater in Community Park has been the premier venue for outdoor music, dance, and drama in Cranberry Township since its first performance seventeen years ago. After assessing the need of art expression in our community, Cranberry Township Community Chest (CTCC), has decided to undertake a series of improvements to greatly increase the family atmosphere and experience at the amphitheater.
Why travel downtown when you can enjoy the ballet from your very own neighborhood park? The project's objective is to attract more entertainers from a variety of backgrounds for the community to enjoy. Big name performers are limited by the current size and condition of the amphitheater. After making the necessary upgrades, Cranberry Township will attract more bands and other forms of art entertainment like the symphony, opera, and dance performances. Active, engaging programs will provide thousands of residents and park visitors with entertainment from spring through fall.
Various components of the project are still being assessed but details are expected to be finalized in Spring 2020. Possible upgrades include: extending the roof line, expanding the stage, improved audience seating, increased connectivity, ADA accessibility, and facade improvements. Stay tuned for exciting project features this spring!
CTCC has launched a fundraising campaign for individuals and businesses to get involved. Gifts of any size can make a difference! As a donor, you're not only investing in this valuable "community treasure," you're supporting the meaningful family experiences to come.
