Stand Up to Drowning

Staff members strongly recommend that parents join their children in the water, regardless of their swimming abilities, and keep non-swimmers within arms-reach at all times.  Coast Guard approved life vests are available for sale from the Waterpark guest services hut for $20 and are recommended for non-swimmers; unapproved flotation devices are unsafe and their use is prohibited.  

In addition, the staff is re-naming the 15-minutes each hour formerly designated as “adult swim” as “safety break.”  The idea behind it is to keep children from becoming exhausted in the pool, which can be deadly.  And the Waterpark pool formerly designated as the “Zero-Depth Entry” or “Baby Pool” is now being referred to as the “Wading pool,” to distinguish it from the deeper adjacent “Swimming pool.” 

New informational signs are being posted around the pools and in the changing rooms.  Guests, including parents, guardians and children, are requested to sign a non-binding safety pledge as they enter the Waterpark.  Temporary tattoos with safety messages are available for children.  And pool staff members are being encouraged to share safety messages with guests.

Our rules are designed to create a safe experience for all 

By purchasing a swim pass or paying the daily fee, you agree to follow the rules established for the safety and enjoyment of all patrons. Everyone must have a membership or a daily pass, even if you do not plan to swim. 

Climbing Wall

  • You must be able to swim alone, safely        
  • No PFD’s, glasses, goggles, or masks            
  • Wait your turn – one person at a time     
  • Wait until the area is clear of other patrons  
  • Climbers must start from in the pool  
  • You get one attempt to climb – once you fall, you must go to the end of the line
  • Climbers must fall feet-first    
  • Swimming is not permitted in the dive well
  • Adults are not permitted to catch climbers        
  • Exit the dive pool quickly

Diving Board and Drop Slide

  • You must be able to swim alone, safely               
  • No PFD’s, glasses, goggles, or masks               
  • Wait your turn – one person at a time              
  • Wait until the area is clear of other patrons             
  • Jump forward off the board; ride the slide feet-first, in a sitting position or lying on back              
  • No back dives, flips, inwards, or gainers etc.               
  • Only one bounce before diving             
  • Swimming is not permitted in the dive well         
  • Adults are not permitted to catch children              
  • Exit the dive pool quickly

Sand Play Area

  •   Children under age 5 must be with an adult
  •   Children over the age of 10 are not permitted
  •   Deck chairs, food and drink are not permitted
  •   Do not dig or bury objects in the sand
  •   Shower off sand before entering the pool
  •   Do not run, push others or throw sand

Slide Safety

  • Required height is 42 inches
  • No PFD’s, glasses, goggles, or masks
  • Wait for Lifeguard signal or green light
  • Slide feet first, on your back or sitting up
  • Slide – do not run, dive, stand or stop
  • Adults may catch small children
  • Exit slide pool quickly
  • Caution: The slide is not recommended for pregnant women, or those with heart or back conditions.

Spray Pad

  • Children under age 5 must be with an adult
  • Children over the age of 10 are not permitted
  • Deck chairs, food and drink are not permitted
  • Do not run or push others

Volleyball Court

  • Sand court is for volleyball play only
  • Players must be at least 10 years old
  • Check out a ball from Guest Services
  • Retrieve balls using the main entrance
  • Do not hang on the net or poles
  • Do not push others or throw sand
  • Always be a good sport

General Rules

  • Children, ages 5 and under must be with a parent/guardian at all times.
  • Children, ages 13 years and under must be accompanied by an adult 18+ years old.
  • Children must be supervised by parent/guardian, not Waterpark staff.
  • Admission may be refused to anyone with a bad cold, cough, inflamed eyes, open sores or similar infections.
  • Admission will be refused to anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Unacceptable behavior can result in corrective action, including dismissal from the Waterpark.
  •     Swimsuits are required for everyone.
  •     Swim diapers are required for diaper age children.
  •     Profanity or harassing of staff or patrons will not be tolerated.
  •     Horseplay, such as splashing, screaming, shoving, dunking, fighting, or running is prohibited.
  •     Diving is permitted only from the diving board.
  •     Floatation devices and inflatables are not permitted, except for Coast Guard Approved life jackets for children under 5 years of age. Parents/guardians must remain in the water within arm’s reach of their child.
  •     Masks, eyewear that covers the nose, fins and snorkels are prohibited.
  •     Small, palm-sized toys that are clean and unbreakable are allowed in the baby pool only. Examples of toys not permitted: large toys, rafts/noodles, balls, Frisbees, or other objects that are meant to be thrown. Staff may ask patrons to stop using these pool toys if they determine the items to pose safety risk.
  •     Chairs must be kept at least 10 feet from the pool edge and away from high traffic areas.
  •     Lunchbox sized coolers are permitted.
  •     Picnic meals and food deliveries must be accepted and enjoyed outside the Waterpark fenced area.
  •     Alcohol is prohibited in the Waterpark.
  •     Smoking, including e-cigarettes is prohibited.
